We at Monchoe Dragkar Thegchen Ling Gonpa; perform various social related activities regarding to wellness and welfare of people living in Lo-Manthang and other people relating to Buddhism and Tibetan Culture. Although our culture and tradition is more related to Buddhism and Tibetan Culture but our social activities are helpful for people from other religion and ethnic group.
Our School Shree Mahakaruna Sakypa Vidhyalaya (A non-profit Buddhist School) helps young monks from Mustang and neighboring districts of Dolpo, Manang, Mugu, Humla and Jumla for their better education and lifestyle.
Our monastery and the monastic school has been playing a crucial role to preserve and keep alive the indigenous Buddhist culture in Lo region.
The community based clinic managed by Mon Choe Dragkar Thegchen Ling monastery has been operating for the past six years. The clinic provides free health service to the monks, locals and visitors. Monk patients are taken down to Pokhara/ Kathmandu to consult specialists in cases of serious illnesses.
